Q. Do you supply the equipment or do we have to rent?

A. We provide everything you need to surf, including a soft-top surfboard, wetsuit, and leash. Our soft-top boards are top of the line, user-friendly, and perfect for beginners.

Q. Where will I meet for the lesson?

A. Closer to the date of the lesson we will pick the best spot for your ability based information regarding the swell, winds, and tides forecasts. We will tell you exactly where to meet us!

Q. If I don’t have a ride, will you provide transportation?

A. Yes, upon request we would be happy to provide transportation given that you are staying locally (within Santa Barbara City, Goleta, Carpinteria, Ventura or Ojai) for an extra charge.

Q. How much are the private lessons, group lessons, and coaching sessions?

A. Lesson rates depend on the number of people joining. Please visit our Rates section or contact us via phone or email for further cost and payment information!

Q. What time are you guys open?

A. We are open daily from 7 am - 7 pm.

Q. Where do you guys do lessons?

A. We are based in Santa Barbara, but also provide services to the Carpinteria, Goleta, Ventura and Ojai communities. We do our surf lessons at the best spot of the day dependent on the students skill level and ocean conditions.

Q. What ages do you guys teach?

A. We offer one-on-one private and group surf lessons to surfers of all experience levels ages 5 and up.

Q. What to bring and wear?

A. We recommend that all surfers wear their own wetsuit if they have one, but if not, please let us know and we would be happy to provide one. Come prepared with a towel, sunscreen, and a bottle of water.

If you are looking to purchase your own wetsuit and/or surfboard, please let us know and we can recommend local surf shops.

We will bring the waiver to be signed when we meet for the lesson. If you would like to sign it before the lesson, or will not be there to sign it for your child under 18, please email us and we will have you sign and return it via email.

Q. What if it rains?

A. We surf rain or shine! In the case of dangerous weather or surf conditions, we will give you a call to reschedule. In other words, if you do not receive a call to reschedule, your lesson is on!
